As I mentioned elsewhere, there has been a recorded message left on my answer machine (three times now) looking for my mother, who passed in 2005.

After the third one, I called the 800 number and asked them why they were attempting to communicate with the dead.

Turns out it's some sleazy little collection agency who found a long-unpaid medical bill!

The woman I talked to wanted to know who was administering mom's estate. I told her to go take a hike.

Any collectors out there, please note that you can't get money from the deceased.

Ron, as one in the funeral industry, we often have those idiots calling up even before the deceased is buried! It is unreal! Oh! Back in 1985, I started receiving contact from District oF Columbia for parking tickets on my father! Problem was, my dad had been dead for over a year! Cruption at it's best! Of course when it it was explained to them, they just said..It was a mistake sorry! Unreal!
